In late 2007, Nissan Australia unveiled the Dualis - a truly new vehicle for the Australian market.

Combining the smooth design cues of a hatch-back with the real-world agility and practical application of an SUV, Dualis stands out for all the right reasons. With the latest in Nissan dynamics, features and safety the Dualis is already making a distinctive mark in Australia.

The Dualis is already established successfully (as the Nissan Qashqai) in other world markets. It's been so popular that in May, 2007 Nissan expanded the Dualis/Qashqai factory and created an extra 100 full time positions in the factory. Nissan also sold off extensive land holdings near the Dualis/Qashqai factory to fund further expansion of the factory.

In April, 2007, Nissan began importing the Dualis into Japan - a rare automotive feat. Rarer, still, Nissan had planned to sell 2000 new Dualis a month in Japan, and they took 10,000 new orders in the first month!
