X-Trail: X Marks the Spot for the Ultimate Adventure Vehicle

If you like going your own way and doing your own thing, the X-Trail will probably appeal to you. X-Trail is a real 4WD with real passenger car comfort and really thoughtful design. Youth and experience are not often found in the same package, but X-Trail provides both - Nissan's 50+ years' experience in creating rugged go-anywhere 4x4s and youthful thinking, youthful styling and abundant considerations for a youthful, active lifestyle.

The X-Trail is designed to transport smoothly and comfortably, be it on to new adventures, or just a drive to go shopping.

The X-Trail's 4x4 ability is underpinned by Nissan's ALL MODE 4x4 system. It provides you with an easy dial selection of 2WD (driving the front wheels for optimum economy), lock mode (with 57/43 front/rear torque distribution for more serious 4WDing) or Auto Mode.

Auto mode is both reactive and proactive. If the system senses a potential loss of traction, the electronic control unit instantly apportions the ideal amount of torque to the rear wheels. If road conditions, change suddenly, the system automatically increases torque to the rear wheels to maintain stability.

X-Trail provides a cavernous and versatile luggage area so that whatever the trip you're taking, you shouldn't be stuck for space.

X-Trail is driven by a punchy 2.5 litre engine with ample power and torque. Despite its great performance, it is low noise and low vibration. X-Trail also offers you a choice of an electronically controlled 4-speed automatic transmission or a 5-speed manual.

Safety features strongly in X-Trail, with Nissan's three-tier safety programme, comprising: Impact Safety, Control Safety and Information Safety.

X-Trail Impact Safety

X-Trail has a strong reinforced cabin structure, designed to protect occupants by maintaining its structural integrity in a collision. Dual SRS airbags protect the driver and front passenger in frontal collision impacts.

X-Trail Control Safety

Electronic Brake-Force Distribution (EBD) provided advanced braking control for your X-Trail in every load situation. Brake force is distributed based on load distibution to give you more stable braking.

X-Trail's Anti-skid braking system (ABS) optimises braking performance, helping the driver retain directional control, especially on slippery surfaces. While the Brake Assist (BA) system applies additional stopping power in hard or panic braking situations.

X-Trail Information Safety

The UV-Cut glass windscreen reduces glare while driving. The CSR halogen headlights provide the brilliant illumination you need, especially when you're on a remote road. X-Trail gives you a keyless entry/immoboiliser controller which enhances vehicle security by switching on the interior lights when you unlock the car. The controller also has a panic button for emergencies.

Ready to undertake any adventure in style and safety, the Nissan X-Trail is the perfect travelling companion.
